Chew the Fat

In this 2nd  Chew the Fat event introduced by Costa the Gardener, Paul West from River Cottage Australia will be driving a discussion with the producers at 4 different enterprises. The conversation will cover these innovative growers’ philosophies and their successes and failures as we examine what small scale farming might look like into the future or even if it’s viable.

The panelists are:

  • Genevieve and Annie from Autumn Farm, Bega – Pastured Poultry

  • Marita from Milton Mushrooms

  • Linda from Grow, Farm, Forage and Buena Vista Farm- a mixed farm enterprise.

  • And 2015 Young Farmers of the year- Erika and Hayden from Epicurean Harvest- veg

Tickets at the gate of SAGE garden Queen St Moruya from 5.30pm for a 6.30pm start.

$10 for SAGE members or $12 for the public. Kids under 15  free
Food available to purchase or BYO picnic

Southeast Harvest Regional Food Festival

9.00am to 2.00pm

Riverside Park, Moruya

Bring along the whole family to celebrate the Spring harvest. There will be a large array of interactive stalls featuring local produce and locally made delicacies, as well as displays promoting more sustainable living.

ABC Gardening Australia’s Costa Georgiadis will be there, introducing stall holders to the crowd and getting involved with games for the kids.

The Main Event Marquee will host a fascinating program of talks from a diverse collection of speakers and a cooking demonstration using local and seasonal produce.

SAGE Riverfeast

Saturday evening in the marquee by the river. Come dressed according to the theme:

Nature’s Superheroes.

Will you be a mighty microbe? A powerful pollinator or a beneficial bug? Let your imagination run wild!

TICKETS AVAILABLE from the SAGE stall at the Farmers Market from Feb 16th. $80 or $65 for SAGE members. Limit of 4 per person purchasing.

  1. At The Reading Room Bookshop Cafe in Ford Street Moruya. We will be holding a Bookshop Brunch starting at 10.30am . This will be served in a “High Tea” style with a sumptuous sampling of sweet and savory delectable bites.Made from some of the finest local produce. All served with a selection of potted teas or fresh ground coffee.
    Bookings for this event are essential and can be made on 44745005 or dropping into the Bookshop Tuesday to Friday.
    Cost is $25 per head.
    This is being held in association with the South East Harvest Festival.
